Bryan and Melinda Folsom live in Cedartown Ga. They have two little girls that love the outdoors as much as they do! Their love of Monster Catfish drive them to travel to fish new waters whether it is for a tournament or for pleasure. They pull many all-nighters in the boat fishing for monster blues and flatheads! They were both raised in the outdoors by their parents and grandparents from deer hunting to starting out fishing for bream, on to bass! It wasn't until Bryan met Melinda that she was introduced to Catfishing. It also wasn't until Melinda caught her first 20+ lb Blue from the Coosa River that Bryan had her hooked! They are ardent believers in practicing Catch Photo and Release. Don't hesitate to stop and talk to them because they love to talk Catfish! Bryan and Melinda have been Tournament fishing for a little more that 2 years as Backwoods Catters. They have many top 15 Placements and Melinda has a couple Top Lady Angler placements. They fish more than a dozen large and small tournaments a year including Cabela's King Kat, Mississippi River Monsters, Monsters on the Ohio, Winter Blues on Wheeler and the Hold'em Hook Tournament Trail in Northern Alabama. They are currently sponsored by Monster Rod Holders, Rippin Lips Rods, Hookers Terminal Tackle, Katfish Clothing and Tennessee River Monster's Demon Dragons.
